If you enjoy the flavors of Biscoff you will love this Biscoff hot chocolate! It’s easy to make and a delicious take on a classic holiday drink.
My first memories of Biscoff cookies come from eating them on the plane to California to see family. I always loved them but for some reason never thought about the fact that you could buy them and have them at home.
A few years ago I saw them in the store and picked some up and now they are one of my favorite store-bought cookies. I love to have them with a cup of hot tea or a cup of hot chocolate.
Having one with a cup of hot chocolate is how this recipe was born. The flavors work so well together I thought, what if I made a Biscoff hot chocolate! I’ve worked on the recipe and now have it to a point that I want to share it with you. It’s a delicious take on a classic hot chocolate and is easy to make.
Biscoff Hot Chocolate Recipe
This recipe uses a lot of ingredients you likely already have on hand so you will likely only need to buy a few ingredients. You can also scroll down to get the full recipe, including a printable version.
- Biscoff Cookie Butter: If you are a big Biscoff fan you may already have this but if not you can get it on Amazon. If you can’t find it I believe Trader Joe’s Speculoos Cookie Butter would be a good substitute. I haven’t been able to try this but the products are very similar so it should work well.
- Biscoff Cookies: While technically you don’t have to have the actual cookies as they are just used for garnish, I do recommend it.
- Milk (or milk alternative): Any milk you enjoy in hot chocolate should work well with this recipe.
- Sugar: Because there is sugar in the cookie butter there isn’t a lot added to this recipe but some is needed.
- Cocoa Powder: Any cocoa powder should work for this recipe. I personally like Equal Exchange Organic Baking Cocoa. I usually get it from Whole Foods or Thrive Market (if you’ve never heard of Thrive Market I have a review on my other site).
- Whipped Cream: Homemade is best but any will work. This is also optional.
One other thing I like to have to make hot chocolate is my hot chocolate maker. You can make this recipe on the stove but the hot chocolate maker makes it even easier. I use mine all the time. It also froths milk for coffee.
