Want to make the holidays easier and avoid so much food out? Make freezer meals ahead of time to have on hand for those busy days.

The holiday season can be very busy and finding time to cook dinner can be difficult which can lead to many meals out. That’s not good for you or your budget.

A great way to prevent this is by stocking your freezer with freezer meals. They are typically best within 3-4 months so you can start making them around August and have a great stockpile built up.

An easy way to build up a stockpile is by doubling recipes and freezing half for later and eating one that night. You will have a lot of meals in no time.

There are some supplies that also make freezer cooking a lot easier. Having these items on hand in advance will set you up for success for all future freezer cooking.

I like to keep track of my meals on a freezer inventory sheet. Since I’m making them in advance I can easily forget what I have, this helps prevent that.

Once you have all of your supplies it’s time to start cooking and these are some freezer meal recipes that are perfect to use in your pre-holiday freezer meal cooking!
