Want to make your home smell amazing for the holidays? Try this Fresh Winter Air Freshener made with essential oils.
I love using seasonal air fresheners, especially around the holidays. It’s a great way to make your home feel extra cozy. My own issue is so many of the room sprays have ingredients I don’t like in my home.
One of the ingredients often found in conventional air freshener is phthalates. Phthalates are a group of chemicals used in air fresheners and other products to help the fragrance last longer.
The problem with these chemicals is they are endocrine disruptors. Endocrine disruptors can cause everything from adverse reproductive, neurological developmental, and immune effects.
Making your own air freshener using essential oils helps avoid these chemicals and it’s fun to create your own scent combinations. I like playing with scents so much I rarely make the same spray more than once.
This Fresh Winter Air Freshener is one of my favorites. It makes me think of cool winter air and leaves my home smelling so fresh and clean. It’s a bit lighter than some winter scents and can be a nice change of pace.

Create a Fresh Winter Air Freshener Spray Gift
Homemade air fresheners make great gifts. You can give it alone or create a nice gift basket with it.
Adding a cute tag helps make it even more festive. I’ve seen some adorable tags at Target and at Michaels. Add some cute ribbon and you are good to go.
I created my own tag using my Silhouette, Silhouette Sketch Pens, baker’s twine, and a Christmas sticker. I simply used a cut file that I adapted and added text to use with the Sketch Pens.
Creating cute labels on your computer would also help dress up the bottle. Whatever you decide it’s sure to be a fun gift that the recipient loves.
