Enjoy all the fun of Christmas even during hot weather with this frozen hot chocolate frappe. It’s delicious and easy to make and share with friends.
Do you love hot chocolate and coffee? This delicious treat combines them into a wonderful frozen hot chocolate frappe. It’s perfect for a summer treat.
You don’t even need a trip to the coffee shop for this treat. It’s really easy to make and enjoy at home. They would also be perfect for a Christmas in July party.
Tips for Making Frozen Hot Chocolate Frappes
This recipe calls for cold brew which you can buy or it’s really easy to make your own. I like to use a glass cold brew pitcher from Ovalware. It’s so simple to use. You fill the filter with coffee, pour in water, and let it brew in the fridge for several hours.
It’s perfect for this recipe but you can also just brew coffee and let it cool. It’s best to brew it double-strength if you do it this way.
I use my own hot chocolate mix for the hot chocolate but you can use any mix you want. You could even use rich chocolate milk if needed. Just make sure you let the hot chocolate cool before you use it.
I like to top mine with whipped cream and marshmallows. It would also be great with a candy cane or even crushed candy cane pieces on top.
You could even create a frozen hot chocolate frappe bar for a warm-weather treat. Just pre-make the frappe and then let people top however they want. Then watch your favorite Christmas movie.
