Giving gift cards this year? This is a great way to dress up your gift cards and make a fun gift. It’s also simple so you can have it done in no time! To help with this fun idea GiftCards.com is sponsoring this post.

Gift cards can seem like a boring gift but often they are the best option. I know I love getting gift cards because after the holidays if there are things I didn’t get that I wanted or a great sale I can use my gift card.

I also sometimes save them for a few months to buy something for myself between holidays. I’ve even saved them to reward myself for reaching a goal.

It can be boring to just give a gift card though so this idea will help make the gift a bit nicer and more fun. It’s still super simple and will only take you a couple of minutes to make, the best kind of craft!

How to Dress Up a Gift Card

For this gift all you need is-

  • Mason Jar
  • Wrapped Candy
  • Gift Card
  • Ribbon
  • Gift Tag

Start by putting a little bit of your candy in the jar to keep the top of the gift card near the top of the jar. Then just place the gift card in the jar and fill the rest of the jar with candy.

Tie a ribbon around the jar and add a nice gift tag. You could also tie on a cute ornament to dress it up more and give another small gift.

While the version I’m showing you is for Christmas this is a great year-around gift. Just change out the candy for whatever occasion the gift is for.

It’s a fun way to give a gift card that isn’t just in an envelope, plus who doesn’t want to some candy?

Shipping Gift Cards

If you are mailing the gift card the candy jar isn’t the best idea. It ends up being a pain to ship. Instead, you can use GiftCards.com to buy a gift card and send it straight to the person’s house.

They have tons of great greeting cards for all occasions that you can include with your gift card. You get to fill them out to make them personal for the recipient.

They also have personalized Visa cards that are lots of fun. You can put your own photo on the card and add whatever amount you want. These cards are great because they are accepted almost everywhere. You can see the cute one I made using a photo of my dog.

This is a really great way to send a gift card in a bit of a more personal way. Plus it’s so simple since they do it all for you. Simple gifts are a great way to reduce your holiday stress!

Last-Minute Gift Idea

If it’s too late to ship the gift card, send an eGift instead. These are delivered electronically so if you forget someone until the last minute or just want to give more, this is a great option.

The eGifts from GiftCards.com include a cute video you get to choose that help makes it a more personalized gift, even though it’s last minute!

Having this idea on hand means you never have to stress about last-minute gifts! I’m so glad I know about this because even though I stay really organized things can still fall through the cracks and this is a great backup plan.
