Save money while giving back this holiday season with Giving Assistant. You can earn cashback for yourself and the nonprofit of your choice while doing your holiday shopping. Thanks to Giving Assistant for sponsoring this post to help others learn about this service!

The holiday season often becomes very busy and unfortunately often stressful. Because of this, we can forget that giving to others is really what the season is about.

I like to try and remember to give back during the holidays but I never do as much as I would like. I often do some little random acts of kindness but I want to do more.

One thing that I’m using this year to do more is shopping with Giving Assistant. It’s a cashback website but it’s different than others because you can choose to donate 1%-100% of your cashback to a nonprofit of your choice.

It’s a great way to save some money and give at the same time. We all have a lot of shopping around the holidays so it can make a big difference.

Setting up Giving Assistant

Getting started with Giving Assistant is really easy. It took me just a few minutes to get everything set up and ready to use. It’s so great for holiday shopping!

Here are the simple steps for signing up.

Step 1: Sign up with your email or Facebook.

Step 2: Instant the button.
There are browser extensions for the top browsers and they give you alerts when cashback is available and finds coupon codes for you.

Step 3: Set up your account.
In your settings, you can pick the nonprofit you’d like to give back to. You can also set up how you’d like to get paid your cashback.

Step 4: Do your holiday shopping.
There are over 3,000 stores so as you shop you are sure to see cashback pop up for many of the stores.

I love that not only do you get cashback but they also have so many coupon codes that will save you money right away. The holidays can be expensive so every little bit helps.

I set up my account to give to the Thyca Thyroid Cancer Survivors Association Inc. My best friend has thyroid cancer and I’ve seen how much of a struggle it has been and it’s a less deadly form of cancer so it doesn’t get as much attention as some.

I love being able to support this nonprofit while doing my normal shopping. I have mine set to 50/50 so I can still save but also give a good amount to the nonprofit.

I love that you get to decide how much you give. If things are a bit tighter you can give a smaller percent. Don’t need the cashback? Give it all to nonprofits. And you can switch anytime!

Want to try out Giving Assistant? Get $5 for signing up and using the service! You can pick any of the nonprofits you don’t have to stick with my choice after you sign up.
