Kick off the holiday season with the 2021 Hallmark Ornament Debut! This complete guide will help you make the most out of the event.
Hallmark kicks off their ornament season with the Ornament Premiere in July. It’s so much fun and gives you a taste of what’s to come but the real start of the Hallmark holiday season is the Ornament Debut in October.
I always look forward to the Hallmark Ornament Debut and picking out some new ornaments, shopping for the new decor, and just getting into the Christmas spirit.
The event takes place in October each year and is just one part of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas. This year Hallmark Ornament Debut takes place October 16th-October 24th. And to make it even better Hallmark Christmas movies start on October 22nd!
Many Hallmark stores go all out for the first day and decorate for Christmas, play Christmas music, and some even have Christmas treats for you to enjoy. It’s like a little Christmas party!
If you are new to collecting Hallmark ornaments or just new to the event this guide can help you get the most out of the Hallmark Ornament Debut.
Hallmark Ornament Debut Guide
The Hallmark Ornament Debut can be enjoyed in-store as well as online. This allows everyone to join in the fun even if you don’t have a store near you.
It is a lot of fun to go in-store but for the 2020 event, I celebrated and shopped from home to stay safe. I got some hot chocolate, turned on Christmas music, and shopped on my laptop. It wasn’t quite the same but it was still a lot of fun and I was able to take advantage of the special deals, use my reward coupons, and get all of the ornaments I had been hoping to get.
Create Your Hallmark Ornament Wishlist
The first thing you should do is make your ornament wishlist. This can help you make sure you know what you are looking for, stay on budget, and make the most of your time shopping.
You can use the Hallmark Dream Book to help you plan. You can create your wish list on their website or use their download. You can also get my FREE ornament wish list. It matches my Christmas planner and can be used for ornaments from any store.
Plan Your Budget
By now it’s a good idea to have your Christmas budget in general planned out. You want to know what you have to spend on decor as well as gifts.
If you are a big collector of Hallmark ornaments you may want to have a budget just for the Hallmark Ornament Debut. I create a budget and I’m sure to check what reward coupons I currently have to help me save money on the Hallmark ornaments.
I also like to have a plan for what gifts I’d like to get and how much I want to spend on those. Knowing all of this before I start shopping can help keep me from going overboard which can be easy to do.
Start Your Gift Shopping
Hallmark ornaments can make wonderful gifts. I love to give Hallmark ornaments for newlyweds, new babies, new homes, and also just ornaments that fit people’s likes and personalities.
Most of my friends have gotten a Hallmark ornament from me at some point. I’ve also gotten many as gifts and I know I love to think about the person that gave me mine as I put them on my tree each year and I hope my friends and family do the same with the ones I’ve gifted.
Hallmark also has wonderful Christmas cards, gift wrap, and other gift items that you will want to check out while you are shopping. The Hallmark Ornament Debut often has really good deals on all of these things so it’s a good time to get that shopping done and out of the way.
