If I had the storage space I’d have at least one Christmas tree in every room in my house. I love Christmas trees so much. The way the lights glow when it’s dark just warms my soul.

At least for now I don’t have the space for that many trees but I do have one 7.5 foot tree and two that are around 4 foot and a mini one. 

This year I got a new one for my kitchen. It’s the Hallmark Sound-A-Light Christmas tree. I have been looking at it since it came out last year but just finally decided to go for it. 

I’ve had it for about a week now and while it’s not decorated yet I wanted to get this review up for anyone that is considering the Christmas tree but isn’t sure if it’s worth it.

Hallmark Sound-A-Light Christmas Tree Review

This colorful tree is 4-foot-tall and pre-lit. It’s flocked and uses 64 LED lights. The lights respond to music and ambient sound to give different light shows. They also have a built in light show with music or a mode with a constant light feature. 

I was not gifted this tree and Hallmark has not compencated me in anyway for this post. If you purchase one from my Amazon links I do earn a small commission but these are all my own thoughts and opinions. 

Pros of the Hallmark Christmas Tree

• It’s a beautiful tree. It’s extemely full and it’s very well flocked.
• The LED lights mean it doesn’t get hot and uses less energy.
• It’s a lead-free Christmas tree which is very hard to find with artifical Christmas trees. This is great for families with young children especially.
• Being able to have your own light shows is a lot of fun and it does work well.
• The color of the lights are beautiful.
• The big LED bulbs give the tree a really fun look which means even if you don’t decorate it, it still looks beautiful.
• At least right now you can get replacement remotes which can be useful if you lose or break one. 
• It seems to be very good quality. I just got it but while putting it together it felt very well built and like it will last.

Cons of the Hallmark Christmas Tree

• It’s pretty pricey. From Hallmark the tree is $249.99. From Amazon, the tree is $189.99. You can find coupons for Hallmark and use their reward program but it’s still going to be more that a lot of similarly sized trees. The bonus is you get the light show part, if you don’t plan to use that feature it may not be worth the extra price.
• If the tree is on the listen mode and there is no real sound it just stays one color. I wish it would still change from time to time.

That’s basically my only cons. The price is the real con but if you care for the tree it will last you many years and it is truly beautiful.

If you are interested in buying one you can likely see one in person at your local Hallmark store. There is also a video to see what the light shows look like. Overall I would highly recommend this Christmas tree if it fits your needs and budget.
