Don’t just use your Christmas tree for one holiday, bring it out for Halloween as well! These Halloween trees are fun and spooky and the perfect Halloween decoration.

You may have guessed that I love Christmas. So in my house, we like to have our Christmas decor up right after Halloween. We just can’t get enough, plus it takes me a while to get it all up.

Last year we decided we needed even more time with our tree so we turned our Christmas tree into a Halloween tree! This is actually something that is becoming pretty trendy.

You can even buy black Christmas trees if you want to go all out. We just use our usual Christmas tree. It has color-changing lights so we put it on red which is fairly orangey-red.

I used a black web material over my usual white tree skirt to create a Halloween feel. We didn’t have any ornaments this time but it still had a fun Halloween vibe.

This year I went for a black and white theme. I got some black and white striped ribbon, black ornaments, and white ornaments. It turned out really great and was easy to put together.

It’s great with just normal white lights or I really love it with purple lights. It’s such a fun look at has made our living room very festive and fun.

For a bit of Halloween tree inspiration, I wanted to share some of the beautiful trees other bloggers have created. Be sure to save this post to Pinterest because I will be adding even more inspiration soon!

Halloween Tree Supplies

I recommend just using your Christmas tree for this project but if you have space and want something different checkout Balsam Hill for traditional Christmas trees or Amazon for colored tree options.

You can also find a lot of fun Halloween ornaments on Etsy, search for any style you want and you can likely find something.

Get Organized for Halloween

Over on my other blog Retro Housewife Goes Green, I have a Halloween Planner available. It’s a great way to get organized for Halloween.

You can also use it to plan out your decor like a Halloween tree. I have a list in my planner of the ornaments and other decorations I want to get to make my tree even better this year.
