We can’t forget our furry friends on Christmas. Making some homemade dog treats and putting them in a cute package is a fun Christmas gift for the dogs and dog lovers in your life.
I always get my dog Christmas gifts, she even has her own stocking. She’s apart of the family so of course, she has to be included in all of the Christmas fun.
One of my favorite things to give her is homemade dog treats. I like knowing what’s in the treats and it’s fun to be able to make something for your pet.
Homemade dog treats also make great gifts for your dog loving friends. Make a lot at once and package them up in a cute way and your friends are sure to love it.
How to Gift Homemade Dog Treats
Once you make your favorite dog treats, you’ll find some great recipes below. Simply bake some and package them in something cute and airtight.
I found a cute snowflake jar but big mason jars work really well. You can also just reuse some clean glass jars you have on hand. It’s a great way to save money and upcycle some jars.
A cute ribbon and a tag saying what kind of treats is great as well. I made my tags using my Silhouette Cameo but Target and other stores have super cute Christmas tags that would work just fine.
It’s a nice touch to add the ingredients to your label in case the dog is on a special diet. I just add those to the back of the tag since an ingredient list isn’t very cute.
Another great idea is to gift the recipe and a cute dog-themed cookie cutter with the gift so the recipient can make more later.
