Indulge in a frosty treat with this delightful recipe for a Mickey-inspired frozen hot chocolate. With just a few simple ingredients and a blender, you can create a refreshing and decadent drink that will satisfy your chocolate cravings, even on the hottest summer days.
It’s likely pretty clear from this blog that I love Christmas but my other love may not be as clear, Disney! I have been a huge fan of Disney since I can remember. I even spent my 1st and 10th birthday’s in Disneyland along with many family vacations. I spent part of my honeymoon in Disney World.
My office is mostly decorated in Disney stuff and you will find it all over my house, including in my Christmas decorations. It’s something that makes me so very happy.
Something that Disney celebrates that is a lot of fun because it combines my two loves is Disney’s Halfway to the Holidays. It’s a fun time where Disney gives a little holiday preview and I’m of course all for it!
That’s why this year I decided to make a fun Disney-inspired Christmas treat that is perfect for Halfway to the Holidays or Christmas in July, or really anytime! This Mickey-inspired frozen hot chocolate is easy to make and adorable!
How to Make Frozen Hot Chocolate
To make frozen hot chocolate, gather 6 ounces of milk, 1 1/2 cups of ice, and 1/2 cup of hot chocolate mix. You can also use 2 packets of hot chocolate mix. It’s even more fun if you have the BlendJet Mickey blender that I use to make this recipe.
Start by pouring the milk and hot chocolate mix into the blender. Next, add the ice to the blender. The ice will give the drink its refreshing and slushy consistency.
Secure the lid on the blender and blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. The ice will break down, creating a velvety texture that is reminiscent of a classic hot chocolate, but with a delightful icy twist.
Once the mixture is blended to perfection, it’s time for the finishing touches. Pour the frozen hot chocolate into a tall glass, leaving some room at the top. Garnish your creation with a generous dollop of whipped cream, creating a fluffy cloud atop the chocolaty goodness. To add a festive touch, sprinkle some Christmas-themed sprinkles over the whipped cream. And for an extra touch of whimsy, place two mini chocolate donuts on either side of the whipped cream, resembling the iconic Mickey Mouse ears.
With its creamy texture, rich chocolate flavor, and whimsical presentation, this frozen hot chocolate is sure to be a hit among kids and adults alike. It’s the perfect treat to cool down on a hot summer day, bringing the cozy comfort of a traditional hot chocolate to the realm of frozen delights.
So, the next time you’re craving a chocolatey indulgence but want to beat the heat, whip up a batch of frozen hot chocolate and let its delightful flavors transport you to a world of icy, chocolatey bliss.
