Over the last several years with increased streaming, we have seen a boom in Christmas movies. All of the streaming services and TV channels seem to be in a race over Christmas movies; the real winners are those who love Christmas movies.
This year is looking like a good year for Christmas movies. Last year we had a bit of a slowdown because of the strike but it’s full steam ahead this year.
New Christmas Movies in 2024
These movies are all subject to change. Sometimes networks and streaming services make last-minute changes so be sure to watch for updates.

New Netflix Christmas Movies
Netflix is planning six all-new movies for 2024, including a new Lindsay Lohan movie!
‘Meet Me Next Christmas’
Release Date: November 6
Cast: Christina Milian, Kofi Siriboe, Kalen Allen, and the cast of Pentatonix
Plot: Follow Mayla (Milian) as the pursuit of a fairy-tale romance leads her on a race against time to secure tickets to a sold-out Pentatonix show in New York City.
‘Hot Frosty’

Cast: Lacey Chabert, Dustin Milligan, Craig Robinson, Joe Lo Truglio, Katy Mixon, Lauren Holly, Chrishell Stause
Plot: A widow, Cathy (Chabert), magically brings a handsome snowman to life. The snowman helps teach Cathy how to laugh and love again just in time for the holidays and before he melts.
‘The Merry Gentlemen’

Plot: To try to save her parents’ small-town performing venue, Ashley (Robertson), a former dancer, decides to create an all-male Christmas-themed revue.
‘Our Little Secret’

Plot: Two resentful exes (Lohan and Harding) are forced to spend Christmas together after discovering their current partners are siblings.
‘That Christmas’

‘Champagne Problems’

Cast: Minka Kelly, TBA
Plot: A mergers and acquisitions executive (Kelly) goes to France just before Christmas to finalize a deal for a champagne brand. However, things get complicated when she starts a romance with a Parisian who just happens to be the son of the champagne company’s founder.
New Amazon Christmas Movies
After their success with Candy Cane Lane last year Amazon is coming back with two new movies featuring Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Chris Evans, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
‘The Man with the Bag’

Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson
Plot: Santa Claus learns his magic bag has been stolen. To get the bag back Santa teams up with Vance, a reformed thief on the naughty list, to get it back.
‘Red One’
Release Date: November 15th, 2024
Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Kiernan Shipka, J.K Simmons, and Lucu Lui
Plot: This film has been described as ‘Fast & Furious’ meets ‘Miracle on 34th Street.’

‘Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story’

Plot: Alana Higman (King) is sure that her family’s lifelong history as Kansas City Chiefs superfans makes them a frontrunner to win the team’s “Fan of the Year” contest. Plot: The sequel begins five years later, with the Brenner brothers preparing for another memorable Christmas. Luke is desperate to make his son’s stage dreams come true, so he enlists the help of his brothers Taylor (Hynes) and Stephan (Campbell). Meanwhile, the trio navigates meeting their mom Barbara’s (Colin) new boyfriend and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about this relationship. In true Brenner brother fashion, they are all in for a Christmas they will never forget.

The couple shares the shocking news that they are getting divorced and asks Lawrence to share the news with Claire. Claire knowing her family won’t be returning in December insists on one last Christmas with the family in the middle of summer.
