Over the last several years, with increased streaming, we have seen a boom in Christmas movies. All of the streaming services and TV channels seem to be in a race over Christmas movies; the real winners are those who love Christmas movies.
This year is looking like a good year for Christmas movies. In 2023 we had a bit of a slowdown because of the strike, but last year brought us some good new movies like the cheesy but cute Lacey Chabert movie Hot Frosty, which went viral on social media and a new telling of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
New Christmas Movies in 2025

These movies are all subject to change. Sometimes networks and streaming services make last-minute changes so be sure to watch for updates.

New Netflix Christmas Movies
Netflix has announced four new Christmas movies for 2025. The first is set to be released on November 12th.
‘A Merry Little Ex-Mas’
- Release Date: November 12, 2025
- Cast: Oliver Hudson, Jameela Jamil, Alicia Silverstone, and Melissa Joan Hart
- Plot: Kate (Silverstone) is recently divorced, and hoping for a picture-perfect family Christmas one last time before she sells her house. Unfortunately, her dreams of a nostalgic holiday break are dashed when her ex-husband, Everett (Hudson), unexpectedly introduces his young and successful new girlfriend into the mix.
‘Jingle Bell Heist’
- Release Date: November 26, 2025
- Cast: Olivia Holt, Connor Swindells, Lucy Punch
- Plot: Two small-time thieves team up to rob a London department store on Christmas Eve but get caught up in more than just the heist when feelings emerge.
‘My Secret Santa’
- Release Date: December 3, 2025
- Cast: Jayden Onion, Madison MacIsaac, William Vaughan
- Plot: Taylor disguises as Santa at a resort to fund her daughter’s ski lessons. Working with the charming manager Matthew, she finds holiday cheer and a chance at love amidst challenges.
‘Goodbye June’
- Release Date: December 12, 2025, in select US and UK theaters, December 24, 2025, on Netflix
- Cast: Kate Winslet, Toni Collette, Helen Mirren, Jeremy Swift, Johnny Flynn
- Plot: The film takes place just before Christmas, when an unexpected turn in their mother’s health thrusts four adult siblings and their exasperating father into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics in the face of potential loss. But their quick-witted mother, June, orchestrates her decline on her own terms – with biting humor, blunt honesty, and a lot of love.

‘A Royal Montana Christmas’
- Release Date: October 18, 2025
- Cast: Fiona Gubelmann, Warren Christie, Remy Marthaller
- Plot: Princess Victoria of Zelarnia is ready for a change of pace. Looking to decompress in the days leading up to Christmas, she decides to take a vacation to Peaceful Pines Ranch in Montana.
‘A Christmas Angel Match’
- Release Date: October 19, 2025
- Cast: Meghan Ory, Benjamin Ayres, Noah de Mel
- Plot: Two Christmas Angels with opposite styles must unite soulmates before the holiday while dealing with department downsizing and their own unexpected connection.

New Lifetime Christmas Movies
Lifetime hasn’t released its full Christmas movie schedule for 2025 yet, but once they do, you will find the Lifetime Christmas movie schedule here on The Stress-Free Christmas. They have released details of one of their new movies.
‘Christmas Everyday’
- Release Date: TBA
- Cast: Brandy, Sy’Rai Smith, Ray J, Jeffrey Bowyer-Champman, Debbi Morgan
- Plot: Brandy plays Francine “Fancy” Ballantine, a fashion designer trying to balance work, family, and tradition after the passing of her father. Her mother (played by Debbi Morgan) is losing her sight, and Fancy is also helping plan her demanding younger sister Belle’s wedding.

‘Christmas Karma’
