Love hot chocolate but want something a little bit different? This peppermint white hot chocolate is simple to make and very rich and delicious!
I love hot chocolate, I think this is most apparent when we take our annual Christmas trip to Branson, Missouri. There is a coffee shop right by the hotel and it’s my favorite treat to go get in the afternoon.
I also make hot chocolate at home a lot during the winter months. Usually, I just use some homemade hot chocolate mix because it’s so simple but sometimes I like to mix things up.
Peppermint is another thing I love during the holiday season so it only makes sense that I would also love to make this peppermint white hot chocolate.
It’s so creamy, rich and delicious! My husband is less of a hot chocolate fan but he loves to mix half coffee and half of this peppermint white hot chocolate. It is pretty good that way but I usually drink mine plain. It’s so rich I will often make half of this recipe and have half a cup and make my husband half with coffee. It’s the perfect amount.
If you want to make it extra special top with whipped cream or marshmallows and some crushed candy canes. My favorite candy canes are the Wholesome organic candy canes. They are the best candy canes I’ve ever had. It’s hard to go back to the others now.
You can easily double this recipe or even more if you want to make it for a group of people. It’s a fun alternative to regular hot chocolate.
