Cranberry white chocolate blondies are the perfect balance of sweet and tart. They also look as festive as they taste making them the perfect holiday party treat.
I love baking around the holidays. There are so many fun occasions that are made even better with delicious baked goods. Even a movie at home is better if you have a holiday-themed dessert.
Speaking of Christmas movies, I love to start watching them very early, sometimes before Halloween but at least as soon as Halloween is over. There are so many I love to watch that I have to start early.
One of my favorite things to do is make myself a hot chocolate, have a holiday treat, and watch a Christmas movie. Sometimes if I’m feeling stressed I will do this even if it’s not close to the holidays. It’s one of my favorite self-care acts.
I love that we have so many Christmas movie options now. With streaming, it’s like we have an endless supply! I guess I shouldn’t have a Christmas dessert with every movie if I don’t want to gain too much during the holidays. But occasionally it’s okay. I need to work on some healthier recipes for the rest of the time. If you have any good ones share in the comments.
For the days you do want to treat yourself these cranberry white chocolate blondies are amazing. The tart cranberries pair so well with very sweet white chocolate. The white and red also make these look very festive without needing any artificial dyes or decorations.
I recommend stocking up on some fresh cranberries around Thanksgiving when they go on sale and stick them in your freezer for this recipe and for other cranberry recipes throughout the holiday season.

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium sized bowl, mix butter and sugar. Mix in the egg and vanilla.
- In small bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Add flour mixture to the sugar mixture.
- Fold in cranberries and white chocolate chips.
- Pour into a lightly greased 8x8 pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
I used mini white chocolate chips from Whole Foods. Regular white chocolate chips also work but I like how the mini chips are more spread out in the blondies.
