Step into the bewitching world of the Hallmark Haunted Mansion Ornament Collection through this in-depth review. Explore the enchanting allure of each ornament, as we unravel the spooky charm and intricate details that make this collection a must-have for Haunted Mansion fans.
This year Hallmark introduced a brand new Haunted Mansion ornament set. So far the collection includes a Haunted Mansion tree topper, a Madame Leota ornament, and a Coffin in the Conservatory ornament.
Later this year they will be releasing a third ornament, Victor Geist. And they have said they plan to add to the collection in future years and all of the ornaments will connect together.
I purchased the currently available part of the collection the day it was released and have had time to use and review the items so I want to let you know if they are worth it.
Hallmark Haunted Mansion Ornament Collection Review
You can check out the full show for the collection in the video. As ornaments are added the show gets longer. Currently, with the tree ornaments it runs for about 3 minutes.
Haunted Mansion Tree Topper
The Hallmark Haunted Mansion tree topper is the piece that sold out the quickest. It is currently sold out online but may be in some stores. They also say more will be coming.
Key Facts About the Haunted Mansion Tree Topper:
- It costs $149.99
- Its approximate size is 8.8 x 6.5 x 7.6
- It comes with a remote control that doubles as a Haunted Mansion sign ornament.
- It requires a power adapter, which is included.
- The remote control requires 2 LR44 replaceable batteries, which are also included.
When you plug in the tree topper and push the remote it starts a synchronized light and sound show. As you add the Haunted Mansion ornaments you unlock more performances that aren’t available just with the ornaments. The tree topper also remains lit while plugged in even when it’s not doing the light and sound show.
This is an expensive piece but it is also impressive and perfect for Haunted Mansion fans. While some are disappointed that it features the Disney World Haunted Mansion instead of Disneyland, I find that it’s a better design for something that will be seen from all sides.
It is very easy to install and set up. It attaches very securely to the top of the tree. I have had it on my tree for almost a month and it has never fallen, even when my cat has played with ornaments or it’s been bumped by the vacuum.
I did find that the power cord is far too short to go down my tree and to an outlet. I solved this by using an extension cord which I zip-tied to the inside of my tree to hide the cord.
Overall, I’m happy I purchased the Hallmark Haunted Mansion tree topper. Given the high quality of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, the piece should last for years to come.
Haunted Mansion Ornament Collection
In July 2023 Hallmark released the first two of three ornaments that will be in this year’s collection, Madame Leota and Coffin in the Conservatory. In October they will be adding Victor Geist.
You can currently buy Madame Leota and Coffin in the Conservatory on Amazon. They are sold out on Hallmark’s website and in some stores.
Key Facts About the Haunted Mansion Ornaments:
- Each ornament costs $44.99.
- Each ornament has different lights and sounds.
- You unlock more scenes if you also have the tree topper.
- The ornaments are powered by a Keepsake Power Cord which is sold separately.
Each of these ornaments can be purchased and used alone but when you add them to the tree topper you get even more scenes and they all work together. You simply push the remote that comes with the tree topper and it will run through the whole show.
The tree topper and ornaments connect wirelessly making it easy to hang all of them on your tree. The ornaments connect to each other using the Keepsake Power Cord.
The Keepsake Power Cord is $14.99 but it can be used with all of the Storyteller ornaments which for Halloween includes a Mickey Jack-O-Lantern this year. There are also many coming out for Christmas that use the cord so the investment can be used for many ornaments and for both Halloween and Christmas. The Keepsake Power Cord is long enough that I do not find the need for an extension cord. It also has space for up to 7 ornaments.
Overall I love both ornaments. They have amazing details and look great lit up even when the sound and light show is not running. They add a fun spooky vibe to my Halloween tree.
They are again a bit pricey but I’ve been collecting Hallmark ornaments since I was born and all of my ornaments are still in amazing shape and will last me a lifetime.
In my opinion, the craftsmanship is worth the price of the ornaments and the tree topper. They are a must for any Haunted Mansion fan. I can’t wait to continue to collect this collection.
